Now you can have fun with some “new” recipes for your holiday cooking. I haven’t decided which one I’ll try but I’m thinking about the Potato and Cheese Bake.

We discussed rationing and we’ve discussed just how well our parents and grandparents ate – despite the rationing and time of war when all the “good” stuff was going overseas!  So …. as promised, here are some more of the wonderful recipes from the 1940’s.

      I’ve gotten a handful of ‘Likes” already. I copied the potato and cheese recipe, but my plans to make if for Sunday dinner have changed. My youngest son and his family are coming and bringing ham barbecue. That means potato salad.
