Faith Filled Friday: The Little Drummer Boy

Pa-rum-pa-pum-pum!

There is nothing in the Bible that says a drummer boy visited the baby Jesus. However, I believe he might have been with the shepherds or one of the other visitors Jesus had.

Pa-rum-pa-pum-pum!

It’s easy to image a young lad with the strap of his drum slung over his shoulder and shyly approaching Jesus.

“Little baby, I am a poor boy too. I have no gift to bring for one who is a king.

Rum pum pum pum, Rum pum pum pum, Rum pum pum pum

“Shall I play for you on my drum?”

Pa rum pum pum pum, Rum pum pum pum

Mary nodded.

The ox and lamb kept time as the boy played.

Pa rum pum pum pum

The little boy played his best for the baby Jesus.

Pa rum pum pum pum, Rum pum pum pum

Baby Jesus smiled at the little drummer boy.

Pa rum pum pum pum, Rum pum pum pum

Surely the little boy smiled back as he played his drum.
