1. Everything Will Work Out For Good

These are a few of the verses that assure those of us who love God that everything will work out alright. He wants to give us good things.

And we know that all things work for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28

If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:11

Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Psalm 85:12

2. God Will Be Near

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. James 4:8

I think of this as me taking one step closer to God through prayer and reading the Bible. He takes one step closer to me with his love, strength and comfort!

Thou art near, O Lord; all all thy commandments are truth. Psalm 119:151

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. Isaiah 55:6

3. The Promise of Comfort

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-5.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will now come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. John 16:7

4. The Promise of Strength

And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9

I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:1-2

It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. Psalm 18:32

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3

5. God’s Promise of Guidance

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. Isaiah 58: 11

Howbeit when he, the Spiritis come,he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsover he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13

6. The Promise of Wisdom

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Psalm 51:6

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength; nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. Ecclesiastes 9:16

7. The Promise of Eternal Life

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Psalm 25:5

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death. Psalm 68:19-20

God has made a lot more promises to us. I’m sure the list is rather long. Do you have one of God’s promises you would like to share?
