A Bit of Humor

February 26, 2021

Faith Filled Friday, February 26, 2021

It’s rainy, cold and dreary, but our Friday Women’s Bible Study finally restarted today! I read a couple of these in the paper I picked up at church and decided today would be a good day for humor, albeit on the groaning side. Connie

1. Some say that Adam and Eve had the ideal marriage: he did not have to hear about all the men she could have married and she did not have to hear about the ways his mother cooked things.

2. A Texas rancher, visiting a South Dakota farmer friend, asked him to show him his farm. After seeing the thousand-acre spread, the Texan bragged that down home he could get into his car, drive all day and by evening would not have gotten to the distant point of his ranch. The South Dakotan simply replied, “You know, I had a car like that once.”

3. Q: What do you call a transparent mobile phone used only for fake phone calls? A: Cell o’ feign.

4. Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, yet dish-washing liquid is made with real lemons?

5. Great One-liners:

Do you know how a hippopotamus gets into an oak tree? He sits on an acorn and waits.

Why do you take a blacksmith on a picnic? To shoe flies.

What do you call a dancing cow? A milkshake.

What do elves learn in school? The elf-abet!

What is a tree’s favorite drink? Root beer!

Where do you learn how to make ice cream? Sundae school.

What’s a snake’s favorite subject? Hiss-tory!

Why do you never see an elephant hiding in a tree? Because they are really good at it!

Why did the girl put peanutbutter on the road? To go with the traffic jam!

Why did Mickey Mouse go into space? To find Pluto!

Why did the barber win the race? He knew a short cut!

Suggested Bible verses to read: Isaiah 26:3; Proverbs 18:24; 2 Timothy 3:16; John 10:10 and 1 Corinthians 1:27.
