Faith Filled Friday: Hymns of Praise

February 15, 2019

Isaiah 12:1-6 is a hymn of praise, but it also provided me with reassurance.

And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou were angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comforted me.

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Sing unto the Lord; for he has done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Another song of praise is 2 Samuel 22:2-4; this one is by David

And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; thou savest me from violence.

I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
