Writing Romance: Why Perfect Men Make Boring Heroes

While editing my novel I learned my heroine was afraid of the dark. She was not that way when I wrote that part the first time. I liked her little imperfection and kept it. After reading this, I need to go back and give my heroes a few flaws. ~ Connie

Recently I was reading a promising romance novel, and then, in the midst of chapter six, I found myself placing the book face down on my kitchen table in frustration.

The hero was absolutely perfect.
