Benghazi – 9/11/2012
I love the poem.
11 September 2012, the day the United States Consulate was attacked in Benghazi, Libya. The event should still under investigation.
The following was written by an anonymous Marine officer ___
We’re the Battling Boys of Benghazi,
No fame, no glory, no paparazzi.
Just a fiery death in a blazing hell
Defending the country we loved so well.
It wasn’t our job, but we answered the call,
Fought to the consulate and scaled the wall.
We pulled 20 countrymen from the jaws of fate,
Led them to safety and stood at the gate.
Just the two of us, and foes by the score,
But we stood fast to bar the door.
Three calls for reinforcement, but all were denied,
So we fought and we fought until we died.
We gave our all for our Uncle Sam,
But Barack and Hillary didn’t give a damn.

Personally, I can’t forget. It’s hard to believe that anyone could. This is one of those things that never should have happened. I’m sorry our gov’t is against us, but I keep praying.
